Early Childhood Education
Aquila Nidus is an authentic Montessori school in Gbagada, Lagos, where children are respected and understood as they grow.
Founded in 2012 by Mrs Ajoke David as the product of a divine mandate, we opened with four pupils on the ground floor of her home and have taught more than three hundred children since.
Every classroom is led by an AMI-certified guide, and what we are raising is a child who is independent, responsible and respectful.

To provide an authentic Montessori experience for children aged 3 months to 6 years within a safe, nurturing and happy environment, where competent adults help each learner find their own potential and independence. Along the way we aid learners to develop into confident, creative and balanced individuals who can serve humanity to the glory of God.
To raise children who know they are loved and know they were made on purpose, for a purpose. Children who love to ask questions and are brave enough to try hard things, who are growing in respect, honesty, responsibility and love, and who have already begun to make their corner of the world kinder.
To empower parents to be deliberate in creating homes that fully support their children’s development.
To prepare generations of passionate and competent Montessori guides who lead in their profession and strengthen the practice of authentic Montessori in Nigeria.

We stay creative in playing with our children, help them explore what the world offers, and know that small changes keep a child interested.
We work at quality in everything we deliver to children and their families, and we keep rethinking what quality means.
Children are important members of this community. We are interested in each child and their family, and we stay with them through teething, separation and every other hard part of growing.
We know children and how they develop, where each one is and where they are heading, and we find the right way to show warmth to every child here.
We are open and honest with each other, and we pull in one direction.
Freedom and responsibility are two sides of the same coin here. Children grow responsible towards their learning and towards the people around them.
