Ages 18 months – 3 yearsAs toddlers begin wanting to do everything themselves, they are building concentration, coordination and language faster than at any other point in their lives, and this program builds on that drive rather than working against it. What they leave with is the confidence to start something and see it through alone.
What to expect in our Toddler classroom
Our Toddler Community is built around a child’s drive to do everything themselves, with real, child-sized tools for practical life alongside sensorial materials that sharpen the senses and refine movement. Children pour, spoon, dress themselves and return materials to their place, building concentration and independence work by work. Language surrounds them constantly, spoken clearly and often, laying the groundwork for the explosion of vocabulary this age is known for.
The child who has felt a strong love for his surroundings and for all living creatures, who has discovered joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us reason to hope that humanity can develop in a new direction.

Every Classroom Led by an AMI-Certified Guide
Montessori is not a protected term in Nigeria. A school can put it on a gate, buy a few wooden toys, and run an ordinary classroom behind it. AMI is the Association Montessori Internationale, established by Maria Montessori in 1929 to prevent exactly that. Its diplomas are externally examined and remain the most rigorous Montessori qualification in the world. Every lead guide at Aquila Nidus holds one for the age group they work with, and so does our founder. It is the one claim about a Montessori school you can actually check, which is why we put it in front of you first.
